Top Ten Tuesday was started by The Broke and the Bookish. Every Tuesday there’s a different topic.
This week's Topic is:
Top Ten All Time Favorite Authors
It is difficult to choose ten, but My Top Ten Favorite Authors in no particular order are below:
1. Kate Morton - love all of her books. My favorite is THE FORGOTTEN GARDEN. THE FORGOTTEN GARDEN was pre-blog so no review, but I also liked THE SECRET KEEPER.
2. William Kent Kruger - ORDINARY GRACE and TAMARACK COUNTY were quite good.
3. Lucinda Riley - love her books. My favorite is THE LAVENDER GARDEN.
4. Renee Rosen - loved both of her books that I read. DOLLFACE and WHAT THE LADY WANTS.
5. Pam Jenoff - I met her at the BEA...lovely person. I have read almost all of her books and she has a new one out. Can't wait to read it. Here is one I have reviewed on my blog THE WINTER GUEST.
6. Todd Borg - Awesome mystery/thrillers. I am quoted in his book TAHOE TRAP. Another good book by Mr. Borg is TAHOE CHASE.
7. Beth Hoffman - You must read her books. LOOKING FOR ME is just as wonderful as SAVING CEECEE HONEYCUTT. SAVING CEECEE HONEYCUTT was pre-blog days so no review, but I think everyone knows the book.
8. Bette Lee Crosby - All of her books are superb. Here a few: THE TWELFTH CHILD and PASSING THROUGH PERFECT.
9. Karen White - she is awesome. I am reading her newest book, THE SOUND OF GLASS....very good. I loved these books: A LONG TIME GONE, THE TIME BETWEEN.
10. Barbara Davis - loved her book, THE WISHING TIDE.
That was difficult to choose ten.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping everyone.
I'd have a hard time just choosing ten as well. We have a few in common though. Beth Hoffman is at the top of my list and so is Karen White. I just got Pam Jenoff's new one the other day. It's not due out till August I think so I'll keep it for summer reading. And as bad as this sounds I have never read one of Kate Morton's books. I know - bad me. Lol.
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear we enjoy some of the same authors.
DeleteOh....you need to read Kate Morton's books. I bet you will like them.
Thanks for stopping, Darlene.
I haven't read books by any of the authors mentioned in your post this week, so I now have a few new authors to explore!!

Interesting you and a few others don't know these authors. Must be out of your genre, Jessica.

Pam Jenoff is has been on my TBR since your review of The Winter Guest and I had forgotten all about William Kent Kruger. I haven't read him in probably 10 years but I always enjoyed his books. Lucinda Riley is another author I'm really looking forward to trying. Great list!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Katherine.
DeleteI think you will enjoy Pam Jenoff and Lucinda Riley. I hope you get to read something of theirs.
Glad to hear you have read William Kent Kruger. Isn't he wonderful?
The Kommandant's Girl by Pam Jenoff is the first book I read by her. I was hooked. :)

Hi there - Good list of authors. Not sure if I could name 10 without thinking more about it. I know one of those would be Sarah Jio. Her book, Blackberry Winter, has been a favorite of mine.

It was difficult to choose only 10, but these came to mind first.
DeleteThanks for stopping, Diane.
I have read and enjoyed several from your list, especially Renee Rosen's What The Lady Wants. I liked that for portraying Marshall Field so well, as his store was my all time favorite before Macy's took over.
ReplyDeleteThat book was terrific.
DeleteThanks for stopping, dolcebellezza.
I love your author list!! I have added some of their books to my TBR List.
