The Night Shift by Alex Finlay

Is this murder a copycat?

Fifteen years ago three teens were murdered at a video store with one survivor, and today a similar incident happened at an ice cream store.

The survivor of the mass murder fifteen years ago, Ella, is now a counselor and is asked to talk to Jesse, the survivor of this current mass murder.

What Ella finds out was never told to the police also happened to be something the murderer whispered to Jesse as he left her for dead.

What could the significance of what the murderer whispered to both girls be?

Could it be the key to solving the murder?

During the investigation we also meet Chris a public defender and Keller an FBI agent on the case.

THE NIGHT SHIFT alternates between the main characters telling their back stories and their involvement in the current and past murder investigation.

The book is filled with underlying tension as secrets about all of the characters’ pasts are revealed and unknown clues about both investigations surface.

Tension, tension, tension…surprises, surprises, surprises.

Thriller fans won’t want to miss Mr. Finlay's newest.  5/5

This book was given to me by the publisher via NetGalley for an honest review.

  1. I am just mad that with an archive date of 3/3 the book has already been taken off netgalley shelves. This sounds an exciting read.
