ABOUT THE DESIGN OF US:
Bhanu is a sunshine-y, mildly anxious, work-obsessed UX designer. Despite her inability to fully unwind, she is excited to get away and spend some time in lush, tropical Hawaii with her sister. She is especially eager to leave behind her work nemesis and total killjoy, Sunny.
But fate has other plans.
It just so happens that Sunny is attending a destination wedding in Hawaii at the exact same beachside resort where Bhanu’s sister works—at precisely the same time as Bhanu’s visit. Not only is Sunny crashing Bhanu’s vacation, but his ex-girlfriend is staying at the resort, too. When Sunny’s ex starts acting especially cruel in public, Bhanu claims to be his new girlfriend, just to shut the woman up. After all, they're in Hawaii, and this lady needs to calm down! But one little white lie snowballs into spending an entire vacation by Sunny’s side. It’s not long before the rival pair’s fake relationship, along with some forced proximity, leads to a real-life romance….

Sajni Patel was born in vibrant India and raised in the heart of Texas, surrounded by a lot of delicious food and plenty of diversity.
She draws on her personal experiences, cultural expectations, and southern flair to create worlds that center around strong Indian women.
Once in MMA, she’s now all about puppies and rainbows and tortured love stories.
She currently lives in Austin where she not-so-secretly watches Mathew McConaughey from afar during UT football games.
Queso is her weakness and thanks to her family’s cooking, Indian/Tex-Mex cuisine is a real thing.
She’s a die-hard Marvel Comics fan, a lover of chocolates from around the world, and is always wrapped up in a story.
