ABOUT THE HAUNTING OF MOSCOW HOUSE:

It is the summer of 1921, and a group of Bolsheviks have moved into Irina and Lili Goliteva’s ancestral home in Moscow.

The house was once a stately mansion, but now it has fallen into disrepair.

The sisters and the remaining members of the Goliteva family are forced to move into the cramped attic so the Bolsheviks can have the grand rooms of the rest of the house. Irina and Lili know that they must make do in their new reality, but soon the house begins to whisper of a traumatic past not as dead as they thought.

Irina and Lili use work with an American relief organization to busy themselves and escape from their now frightening home and unwelcome new landlords.

But before long, the ignored spirits of their home invasion awaken, desperate to tell their harrowing stories of the Revolution.

And when a Bolshevik official is found dead, Irina and Lili are forced to listen.

Only by unearthing the frightening secrets of Moscow House will they solve the mysterious death and ensure the safety of their remaining family members.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE HAUNTING OF MOSCOW HOUSE:

Set in post-revolutionary Moscow THE HAUNTING OF MOSCOW HOUSE follows two once aristocratic sisters as they race to uncover the secrets buried in their family’s now haunted house.

When thinking about her inspiration for the novel, Olesya Salnikova Gilmore said:  "The Haunting of Moscow House is many things.

It is about a society on the cusp of momentous change, a persecuted group in history now quite forgotten, sisterhood, and an old house with hundreds of years of past and memory.

But at its heart, The Haunting of Moscow House is a ghost story. I hope it haunts you as much as it has haunted me.”

THE HAUNTING OF MOSCOW HOUSE is a gorgeous addition to a growing list of historical haunted houses novels, combining the real events of post-Revolution Russia with the chilling thrills of a horror story.

THE HAUNTING OF MOSCOW HOUSE is tailor-made for fans of Grady Hendrix, Isabel Canas, and Rachel Harris.

The Witch and the Tsar, Gilmore’s debut, was a stunning historical fantasy novel that established her as a writer skilled in creating unforgettable stories that reflect her Russian heritage.

It was praised by readers for its rich female characters, fully-realized settings, and striking voice.

And in her newest, Gilmore makes a turn to gothic horror that displays all the skills she’s known for but with a deliciously thrilling twist.
