The Book Swap by Tessa Bickers

Can a book be your friend?

Erin definitely thinks so.

One day Erin was frantically cleaning off her bookshelves to take to the community library because she wanted a new start.

She hadn't realized that she had given away her copy of To Kill A Mockingbird that she had written in with annotations and comments.

She was devastated and ran to the community library to get it back. It wasn’t there.

She checked every day and finally, it was there.

To her surprise someone had written back to her and commented on her comments.

We follow Erin and a mystery man as they go back and forth writing in books and carrying on with something similar to having a pen pal as they write comments to their comments in classics such as To Kill A Mockingbird, Great Expectations, Wuthering Heights, and others.

It was fun, but very confusing and not a book I was anxious to get back to.  3/5

Thank you to the publisher for a copy of this book.  All opinions are my own.

    Thanks for stopping.

  2. Has an interesting title. I read a book earlier in the year with two people writing notes in books with two timelines.

    1. It’s a cute premise, but it didn’t keep my interest.

I do believe I’m in the minority. 😀

      Thanks for your comment, Kathryn.
