Hey there, Elizabeth! What a prolific reader. Thanks for doing all of these reviews. I am the author of "The Last of the Blacksmiths," a book Emily Hollingsworth sent to you quite a while ago. I can only imagine what your TBR stack looks like these days, but wanted follow up. I've just been on an "Ohio tour" -- over a year after the book's release, that went very well. As they say, this book seems to have legs. Thanks again, Elizabeth. Love your site, and I'm headed to Scotland end of May so those pics are especially inspiring. ;0)
Hi Elizabeth. Just discovered your blog and after checking out the books that you review discovered that we like the same types of books. I am really going to enjoy this blog and am looking forward to your future posts.
Thanks for bringing me to your blog! I think we read alot of similar books and your header is stunning. I hope to go there some day! :) Happy Reading! -Valerie
I am late in responding to the Friendly Fill-Ins from this past Friday and see that your comments are closed for that post. Life kind of exploded here at our house last week, but I'm here for the moment.
Did you enjoy being part of a big family? I think big families are great. My mama was #5 out of 7 children. My grandma had 2 boys and 5 girls. :) My mama had me, my twin brothers, and then our little sister. Of our surviving children, we also have two boys and two girls. Some folks that I know think a family is huge even with just one child. That's just getting started. haha
I would like your opinion on a very unique murder/suspense novel, Drunken Angel.Daisy Perlman is the uneducated, unloved daughter of a whore. Lacking any comfort or trust in her life, she develops a philosophy of life from her walks through the woods. She makes many mistakes due to her circumstances, including murder, but she becomes the best loved murderer and one of the most respected citizens in the town of Marmalade. Drunken Angel is the story from the eyes of a serial killer who regrets her actions later in life when she knows better. But it is precisely Daisy’s ignorance of the civilized world and her lust for life that will make you love her, too.
I must say Elizabeth of Silver Reviews is helpful and has a wonderful blog with incredible books to read! I look forward to learn more about how a actual blog works! Great site Elizabeth!
