The Blame Game by Sandie Jones

Naomi is a psychologist who specializes in domestic abuse and has a lot of childhood baggage herself.

She goes out of her way to help her clients.  She even meets them after hours.

The two main clients we meet are Jacob who is abused by his wife and Anna who lost her child and has a marriage that is falling apart because of their loss.

We also meet Naomi's husband who seems to not trust her.  He seemed a bit shady to me.

The characters always seemed to have something to worry about and wonder when the next shoe was going to drop.

Naomi was the biggest worrier, and when Jacob didn’t show up for his appointment after he told her that his wife called him, she got very worried.

Is he in danger and is she?

Does his wife know he was seeing Naomi the evening before?

When the police show up at Naomi’s door and ask her if she knows where Jacob is, she is in for a big surprise.

Things start to happen that get her more involved with his disappearance.

What’s going to happen next?

Ms. Jones keeps us guessing until the tense, surprise ending. 4/5

This book was given to me by the publisher for an honest review.
