ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Peggy Townsend is a longtime newspaper reporter who has won state and national awards for her work.

 

Townsend is an award-winning journalist and author whose work has appeared in Globe Magazine, Santa Cruz Noir, and the San Francisco Chronicle, among other publications.

She has written about teen-agers who lived on the streets, health-care disparities and serial killers ranging from Trailside Killer David Carpenter to Billy Mansfield. 

 

Kirkus Reviews named her first book, "See Her Run," as "One of 13 Thrillers to Keep You Up at Night." 

 

She's run rivers, comes face-to-face with grizzly bears and twice lived in her van for seven weeks at a time.
