Book Blogger Hop - 6/6/2025

Question of the Week:

How do you strike a balance between providing enough information to pique readers' interest without giving away too many spoilers in your reviews? (submitted by Page @ Pages of Perfiction)

My Answer:

Great, but difficult question!!

I usually am vague about key points and give information about the characters.

Telling what genre and who would like the book are easy ways to draw someone in too.

  1. Nice! I usually go with writing the review I would want to read. I like know a wee bit about the plot. Maybe some extra tidbit that the blurb doesn't get into but is still far from spoiler territory. These are things I always want to know about when it comes to books I'm on the fence about, so I try to include that with my review.

  2. Sounds good. I wanted to make my reviews different from everyone else's and easy for me to write so I focused more on the style of writing and make up of the book.

    Have a great weekend!
