This book is an amazing journey through the world of online dating, it captures everything from "What should my profile be?" and "Should I be interested or not?"
Jackson incorporates just the right amount of humor and informational context. When you're reading this book, it's as if you're talking to a friend about the good and bad of dating. There is a mixture of information and stories from personal experience. As she tells you just what to do, she'll also give you an example and a wild story of her own, that gives you a sneak peak into what she is talking about!
This book is perfect for those participating in online dating, but also for those who are single, married, or currently dating someone, that either just needs a good laugh or some actual advice. Believe me she has a lot of advice to give!
This book made me feel seen, because I am a single woman and have tried multiple dating apps, I can relate to some of the things that Jackson has to say!
I definitely recommend this book to everyone that is trying to find love, whether through dating apps or in person. This book has the perfect step by step to help you figure out what exactly you should do, and more importantly, what you shouldn't do.

The cover of this book grabbed my attention, but the first few chapters solidified the read. The author has created a comprehensive outline of the dating life and even touches on relationships in general. But instead of a dry self-help method, you get the rundown in stand-up comedy form.
The wit, engagement, and plentiful stories are sometimes straight off a Hollywood script and sometimes, pathetically, very familiar. The joke’s not always on the other guy or gal (the gender changes making it a good read for anybody). Instead, Rocci Jackson slams a few actions of the would-be suitor, but also checks her own quirks that contribute to a poor date. Let’s face it, sometimes we’re the problem!
Nice pop culture references such as “…profile pic is the foundation of your entire online dating experience. And yet, it’s also the stage where the biggest lies are told. It’s like the Photoshop Hunger Games, and guess what? We all volunteered as tribute.”
Forewarning, you will come away with a new name for … something … but I’ll let you figure out that clever little game for yourself. Ghosts Texts and Exes was a superb escape from my other current read – Why We Die!
