A disturbing vibe to a research program about four young women that were being studied for their ESP abilities in the 1960's.
Dr. Trimble who was conducting the research was so obsessed that he had no concern for the women and the lives they had outside his lab.
They had to be available any time he said he needed them, and they really couldn't say no because their husbands would be fired.
THE WOMEN IN WHITE goes back and forth from the1960's during the testing to present day when Riley is hired by the only surviving woman, Betty.
Betty lives back in the 1960's...no Internet, no microwave, no cell phone, etc., and she has no idea about any of it.
Riley and Betty go on a mission to find out what happened to the other three women.
I thought this book was very unsettling because of Dr. Trimble and his obsession with his research.
I am not really a fan of paranormal so that had an effect on my thoughts about this book, but for me it was a dark and creepy read.
I enjoyed the present day storyline more than the past. 4/5
