Book Blogger Hop - 11/29 - 12/5

Do you leave a link back to your blog when you participate in weekly memes?

I ALWAYS leave a link to my blog when I leave a comment.

Leaving a link makes it so much easier for our fellow bloggers to connect to us and for us to connect to our fellow bloggers when there is a link.

When someone leaves a comment and no link and you have to click on their name, there isn't always a link to their blog on their profile page or there is a link but one that goes to a page where you have to hunt for the blog address.

My least favorite thing that I find when I click on a blogger's name is when it goes to Google +.  It is difficult to find their blog URL, but it is probably just me.  :) you leave a link to make it easier to find you?  :)

Hope everyone had a nice THANKSGIVING.

Stop by my blog for two fun posts.

Book Beginnings - 11/29/2013

*Please join Rose City Reader every Friday to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires. Please remember to include the title of the book and the author's name.  *Taken directly from Rose City Reader's Blog Page.

This week's Book Beginnings is taken from UNDRESSING MR. DARCY by Karen Doornebos.

"Mr. Darcy's plane landed forty-five minutes late.  Vanessa, with coffee in hand and an earbud in one ear, steered her aunt in the airport wheelchair toward the throng of people gathered at the international arrivals area of Chicago's O'Hare."

It is an ok read.  It is out of my normal reading genres, but am giving it a try for a book tour.  I hope I like it more as I read.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Favorite Thanksgiving Side Dishes of Your Favorite Atria Authors

Do you share a favorite Thanksgiving side dish with any of these Atria authors?

Even though I haven't read any of K. A. Robinson's books, I have to agree with her about a favorite Thanksgiving side dish.

I LOVE mashed potatoes and gravy.

If the potatoes are "lumpy," it is even better.  :)

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Abbi Glines: Sweet potato casserole – but it has to have the pecans and brown sugar on top.

A devoted booklover, Abbi lives with her family in Alabama.  She maintains a Twitter addiction at @AbbiGlines and can also be found at and

William Kent Krueger: Its not really a side dish but, boy, do I like pecan pie a lot! Thanksgiving dinner is really an appetizer for pecan pie.

William Kent Krueger is the award-winning author of thirteen novels in the Cork O’Connor mystery series, including Trickster’s Point and Tamarack County.  He lives in the Twin Cities with his family.  Visit his website at

John Lescroart: Oyster Stuffing.

Spencer Quinn: My favorite Thanksgiving side dish is a sweet potato salad with maple balsamic dressing that my wife makes.

Spencer Quinn is the author of six Chet and Bernie mystery novels: Dog on It, Thereby Hangs a Tail, To Fetch a Thief, The Dog Who Knew Too Much, A Fistful of Collars, and The Sound and the Furry.  He lives on Cape Cod with his dogs Audrey and Pearl.  When not keeping them out of mischief, he is hard at work on the next Chet and Bernie mystery.  Keep up with him-and with Chet and Bernie-by visiting

K. A. Robinson: Mashed Potatoes and Gravy.

K.A. Robinson is the New York Times bestselling author of two novels:  Torn and Twisted.  She lives in West Virginia with her husband and their son.

M. J. Rose: The cranberry sauce – with the berries slightly under-cooked so I can squash them with my tongue.

M.J. Rose is the international bestselling author of thirteen novels, one of which (The Reincarnationist) was the basis of the television series Past Lives.  She is a founding board member of International Thriller Writers and the founder of the first marketing company for authors:  She lives in Greenwich, Connecticut.

It's Monday!! What Are You Reading? - 11/25/13

Hope you have a good week.

There will be a giveaway on my blog on Tuesday, November 26, titled:

Guess Who This Baby Is?

Stop by if you like.

This is a weekly meme run by Book Journey!

Post the books completed last week, the books you are currently reading, and the books you hope to finish this week.

Books Completed Last Week:

My review is in the "clickable" book title.

Tahoe Chase by Todd Borg

I am quoted in the beginning pages of this book from my former review of Tahoe Trap.   :)

It was very exciting to see an excerpt from my review!!

Wake by Anna Hope

The book was not bad, but a bit disconnected.
I am not sure when I will put my review on my blog.

The publication date is in February, and not sure when the publisher wants it posted.
Stay tuned.  :)
Book Currently Reading:

Undressing Mr. Darcy for a tour at the end of December.

I hope I like it.  :)

Books Up Next:

I am planning to read The Signature of All Things next while the other books are patiently waiting their turn.  :)

The books below are not necessarily in the order I have planned to read them.

I normally read in order of publication or tour date.

And....these are not for reading in the upcoming week.  They are books into and including next year.

The "list" is a means of keeping me organized.  A visual display helps a lot for organization along with my Excel lists.  :)

I added a couple more since last week.
