It is 1938, and we meet Charlotte in Austria after the Nazis took her family home and her father.
We also meet Cora who owns a hotel in Georgia that has now been turned into a grocery store because of the difficulty of maintenance and her father’s failing health because of PTSD.
How are these two characters connected?
The connection is The Kindertransport.
Cora is asked to use the hotel for housing Jewish children.
