A Beautiful But Cold and Snowy February 9



It started snowing around 11 p.m. last night and we woke up to around 4 inches of the white stuff.  :)

It is a heavy snow.  Keeping an eye on the husband who is shoveling the driveway.

What is crazy is that it is going to be in the 50's this weekend.

We have rapidly changing weather in Pittsburgh.  :)

    We haven't had much winter this year and I hope it stays that way. Yesterday was in the 70s and today's only supposed to hit 53. We'll all be whining about it being cold! lol

      Our winter hasn't been bad either snow wise. It has been pretty cold at times.

      LOL on 53 being cold. That is heaven in Pittsburgh in the winter. :)

    Our weather is a bit all over the place too though not that cold! It was almost 70 degrees yesterday and this morning it's in the low 30s! Enjoy your snow day!

    We've had record highs the last couple of days - mid to upper 80's. Sheesh! Almost no winter, though it is 42 out there right now. You snow picture is beautiful!

    We had two deep, heavy snows, but almost nothing since! It has been mild here in the lower Great Lakes. Bill has seen more snow driving the Rust Belt.

    Looks like you folks are getting what we usually get! We are having a lot of freezing rain which is dangerous. I prefer snow any day to the slippery icy rain.

    Gorgeous picture, Elizabeth, thanks for sharing that. In Santa Barbara, it has been colder than usual and finally we are getting a good bit of rain to help with the drought.

      We have had a lot of rain and snow so far this year. It should help with the water even though we don't have a drought.

    Our weather is warming up a little, now that the rain is on hold.

    I'm sure there will be more, though. One thing I know for sure: no snow on the horizon.

      Cold temperatures are the worst. I would rather have snow.

      Well...I would rather have 80 degrees, but it is winter. :)

    I'll bet my sister's yard looks just like yours! We were supposed to get a little snow here in Maryland. Instead, nothing but cold weather!

    We haven't had much winter at all here in FL. We formerly had a few freezes and the past few winters we've barely hit below 40 once or twice. I like cooler temps to kill off a few bugs!! Enjoy the short beauty of the snow..
