A group of friends who met years ago meet again at Nobody's Inn for New Year's Eve.
All wonder what they look like now.
The women arrive first, and we find out Sarah is pregnant. She isn't a fan of the hotel. She says it seems creepy and dark.
They all get snowed in and then one of them is murdered. Could one of the friends be the murderer? No outsider would chance the icy roads to get to the motel.
We follow the investigation and get to enjoy the beautiful, descriptive writing of Ms. Goldmann. It's like she is right in the room having a conversation with you.
It's a good, old-fashioned murder mystery. 4/5
