Are you planning to bake anything today?
I may make some Russian Tea Cakes.
I can never make those gorgeous iced cookies - can you?
I actually still didn't make the cookies, but I made chicken soup instead. :)

I haven't tried those. We have to watch the sweets. But my favorite Xmas baking years ago was iced gingerbread men
ReplyDeleteI don't care for gingerbread, but glad you enjoyed it.

You are a great cook, I am sure you can master them. No baking here today, I am still trying to get the tree decorated.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ellen.

Every year, my grandmother puts on a MAJOR cookie production. She makes all the dough and frosting, and then all of the grandkids, great-grandkids, and various cousins get together to make cookies! I can't wait for this year's cookie day :)
ReplyDeleteOh how fun and how wonderful you still have your grandmother. ENJOY!!

DeleteI can't eat gluten anymore but the one cookie I make every single Christmas is Martha Stewart's Giant Ginger Cookies. They come out perfect every time and everyone loves them. They are huge... like the size of a saucer. https://www.marthastewart.com/338735/giant-ginger-cookies
ReplyDeleteSounds fun...I am not a fan of gingerbread, though. :)
