Question of the Week:
How do you organize your bookshelves?
(submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver's Review)
My Answer:
I organize my main bookshelf by the date I read the book.
I take these books to an upstairs bookshelf when the main one gets filled, and put them on my bookshelf that I call "older" books that have been read. They remain in the order read.
Two other shelves are ones that I share with friends and family.
The shelves for sharing are not in any particular order.
I have to have mine alphabetized myself! That way I can find specific titles with relative ease! Having over half my collection in storage right now kills me since the boxes are not at all organized and looking for certain titles is very time consuming!

Alphabetic order would be wonderful. So much easier to find.
DeleteNot sure why I decided to do it by date read. :)
Thanks for your comment, Jessica.
That is an interesting way of doing it. I have bookshelves all over the house with no particular order to them.

ReplyDeleteThanks. I like the idea too.
DeleteI keep my books together by series and author. I don't share any of my books. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteA good way to organize.
DeleteThanks for your comment, The Fantasy Princess.
oh, interesting method! I guess it would be very practical when you read a LOT and do a lot of reviews.
