Road Trip by Mary Kay Andrews

Maeve and Therese Dunigan who haven’t talked in decades are thrown together because of their mother’s death and her dying wish that they go to Ireland and see the country their family came from and perhaps find relatives.

The clue to finding the relatives is a painting of their ancestor with a history of being stolen and that always hung above the fireplace in their home.

What they find is a secret about this painting and some letters from their great grandmother to her brother after she left Ireland on her own.

This painting supposedly was stolen, but the letters tell the story that it was given to Kathleen and she brought it here.

Another interesting fact is that the painting might be worth millions of dollars.  Both girls could use some money at this point in their lives, especially since they found out their mother had given $350,000 to a TV evangelist and they have to pay it off.

They also find themselves getting closer, enjoying the beautiful country of Ireland, and meeting some cute men.

ROAD TRIP is another enjoyable read that takes you on a vacation and combines historical fiction with the typical light reading Mary Kay Andrews gives us..

You will love it…enjoy!! 5/5

Thank you to the publisher for a copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
