Saturday Snapshot - 12/29/12

I normally don't post a photo because I never have any good ones, but I thought this would be a fun photo to share.

We woke up to six inches of snow and more on the way.  At least the snow plows came early.  We had around five inches of snow last Wednesday and the street wasn't done until around 3 p.m.

It is beautiful, but not fun for driving.

Taken in the snowy hills of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

  9. It's much prettier to look at through your window than it would be through mine! We got lucky and the storm went south of Chicago. And I couldn't be happier.

  10. I did not have trouble driving until I tried to get back into my driveway. The plows seem to block driveways and someone had plowed my neighbors sidewalk to right behind my husbands car - where I had shoveled earlier. Thanks to a wonderful neighbor, I was able to get into our driveway again. Next time, I'll walk across to the stores.

  14. Hi Elizabeth. I saw this post on my dashboard--had to come check it out. I'm just a bit north of you in Butler County. Winter took it time showing its face, but now that it's here, it sure is pretty. Thanks for sharing, and happy New Year.

  15. That's a beautiful snow! We only had an inch or snow and it has fallen of the trees and melted from the roads, for the most part.

  17. The prsitine snow is just beautiful - so unlike anything we ever see in Sydney!

THANKS so much for stopping by.

Can't find your blog or I would visit.

  19. Lovely! It's always so beautiful when the snow is still on the branches (but I'm with you--so not fun for driving! our coastal snow here in BC is very wet and slippery).

  20. I don't mind snow on pictures. But driving in it over here, people are just too scared and driving becomes a nightmare. So, I'd rather it be somewhere else, as much as I enjoy your great picture.

  24. What a lovely photo. I am hoping for at least one snow storm here this winter-but only one. Snow wrecks havoc on us poor Seattlites what with all our hills and limited snow removal equipment. Have a happy new year!
