My FAVORITE Literary Villain is Mrs. Danvers from REBECCA.
Mrs. Danvers Quote: [to the 2nd Mrs. de Winter] Why don't you go? Why don't you leave Manderley? He doesn't need you. He's got his memories. He doesn't love you - he wants to be alone again with her. You've nothing to stay for. You've nothing to live for really, have you? Look down there. It's easy, isn't it? Why don't you? Why don't you? Go on. Go on. Don't be afraid!

Thanks for stopping.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing who you name.
Cathy Ames from John Steinbeck's novel East of Eden.
ReplyDeleteI have to re-visit East of Eden to remember who Cathy is. :)
DeleteThanks for stopping, Captivated Reader.
Mine too. She's the perfect villain!

DeleteOh yes....the best.

Well, I found Mrs. Danvers the scariest housekeeper one could get, but I'd have to agree with Captivated reader. Cathy Ames was vicious.
ReplyDeleteShe was a scary housekeeper.
DeleteI need to re-visit Cathy Ames....I don’t remember her.

Nurse Ratchet or Big Brother.
