Women's Fiction Reading Challenge - 2016

http://bookdate.blogspot.com/2016/01/womens-fiction-challenge-review-link-up.html

This is my first time participating in ANY challenge.

I normally shy away from challenges because I don't like the stress, but I believe I can handle the WOMEN'S FICTION CHALLENGE since I usually read this genre and historical fiction more than anything.

There are different levels to the challenge.  I am going to go with the SAAVY level to start. :)

Visit Kathryn at The BookDate if you want to join in the fun.
********
Levels

Day 2: Great Things In Blogging 2015

Blogging 2015 had me finding new blogs and new blogging friends.

Blogging 2015 had me revising how I write my reviews.  After five and one-half years, I have been getting more compliments on the content and style of my reviews.

Blogging 2015 had me becoming even more particular about what books I will read and what books I won't accept for reviews.

Blogging 2015 had me appreciating the enjoyment I receive from having my blog even more.

Thanks for reading my post, and have a wonderful day.

First Book Of The Year - 2016

Join Shelia from Book Journey and fellow book bloggers as we feature our first book read in 2016.

My first book of the year is:

THE MURALIST by B. A. Shapiro

I have had this book in my toppling stack since last spring when I went to the BEA.

THE  MURALIST kept getting pushed down the stack, but it finally made it to the top. :)

I actually made it to Page 100 and had to stop.  Not my cup of tea.  Artists and political-minded people will like this.

I am still leaving it as my First Book Of The Year, though, because I was reading it as the clock struck midnight.  :)

Happy New Year, and I am looking forward to everyone's first book of the year so I can add more books to my Toppling TBR Stack or to see if I already have the book on my shelf.

Isn't it such fun, though, to have a stack of books staring at you that are saying:  "pick me, pick me." :)

And such a comfort to know you will never be out of books to read.  :)

Day 1: Your Blogger Resolutions

I normally do not make resolutions for myself so this will be fun to answer.  :)

I am going to make a resolution to keep my readers happy with my continued weekly memes, giveaways, and book reviews.

I  am going to make a resolution to continue to reply to every comment made on my blog.  I enjoy interaction.

So...my resolution is to keep my blog the way it is since I enjoy my blog the way it is, and I know my readers do too.

A bit boring, huh?  But why change if what I have works.   :)
