I'm taken in by book covers too. I like all of these for the same reasons you do, especially A Curious Beginning and The Girl Who Wrote Silk.

Covers pull me in, too. Once in a while, I'll reluctantly read one where the cover doesn't appeal to me, but many times I find that the book is still a really good story. :)
